MIME PROFESSIONAL COURSE
PRACTICAL INFORMATIONS:
Where?
In Italy, city of Turin, at the Internation Physical School Atelier Teatro Fisico directed by Philip Radice. The course is part of the professional program Performing Arts University Torino.
When?
From October, 2nd 2019 to May, 26th 2020
1° year: Tuesday 3 pm – 5 pm
2° year: Tuesday 5 pm- 7 pm
Who is it for?
It is for anyone who wants to learn Mime Art. There are no prerequisites.

Having nothing, a mime can have everything he wants. He can create objects, situations, stories and entire worlds. He can make them alive and existing.
In order to that, it is mandatory that all of this can be shared with an audience. An audience can join and understand what a mime creates only with a solid technique and the use of clear creative principles.
This course gives students the instruments to create performances, sketches and shows, following their personal imagination and style, taking care of both originality and comprehensibility.
The first year is dedicated to the basic techniques and principles of reproducing the real world.
The second year is about expanding the creative possibilities and exploring fantastic, unusual and extra-ordinary solutions.
FIRST YEAR CURRICULUM:
- Body partition and consciousness
- Drawing the Invisible: basic techniques
- Creating invisible objects
- Creating invisible environments and scenographies
- Principles of Psichology of Perception
- Mimesis: the Art of reproducing the World.
- Creating a Character
- Conscious use of music and sound effects
- The Cliche as away to study collective imaginary
- History of Mime
SECOND YEAR CURRICULUM:
- The Magical Thought
- Cartoonish Mime
- Principle sof Graphic Animation apllied to Mime
- Slow Motion
- Reverse Motion
- Ojective Mime and Gestural Narration
- Robots
- Human String Puppet
- Mime with Real Objects
- Street Mime: theory and practice
- Creation of a Show
