WITHOUT WORDS!
(Sans Mots)
Mime & Visual Comedy Show
Aboard the world’s first plane to make Pindaric flights, where words are forbidden so that we can all speak the same language.
A steward tells passengers/spectators three stories, strictly without words:
“My Special Party,” a funny story of loneliness in the early social networking era.
“Mario Netta,” who one day discovers his strings and who is pulling them.
“Eine Kleine Mime Musik,” in which the mad conductor of an invisibleorchestraattempts to tame music gone mad.
A show for allages and nationalities.
After a successful international debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2011, it has been replicated more than 70 times in Italy, France, Spain, the UK, Mexico, Armenia, Thailand, Japan and Australia, often receiving support from the Italian Cultural Institutes of the host countries.
Production: Mimicry Arts Center
Direction: Patrizia Besantini
With: Matteo Cionini
Original Music: Alberto Mompellio
Fasten your seat belts. Turn off your cell phones. Lock the world out the door and prepare for takeoff.
Welcome aboard the world’s first airplane to make pindaric flights!
We will break away from the ground to fly over cities, over nations, over all the borders and barriers that separate us.
On this flight we all speak the same language: that is why words are forbidden.
The one who leads the trip is a bizarre steward, who has to entertain the passengers/viewers by telling them three stories, but without using words:
“My Special Party,” a funny story of loneliness in the age of social networking.
“Mario Netta (story of a life hanging on strings,” the story of a human puppet who one day finally wakes up and discovers his strings, and who is moving them…
“Eine Kleine Mime Musik”: a mad conductor attempts to tame a music gone mad, amid visions and delusions of omnipotence.
A show that starts from the tradition of modern mime and marries a contamination with contemporary theatrical clowning, physical theater, visual comedy and musical pantomime, with a good percentage of virtuosity and synchronicity between storytelling/gestural comedy and advanced theatrical audio editing techniques.
Engaging and Entertaining
A winning personality and real charm
A universal show that can stimulate the imagination of spectators all over the world.
It is a funny and charming piece that manages to get many smiles from the spectators who never lose sight of Cionini.
He has proven to be a master of mime, with a lot of expressive resources.
He manages not to leave faces without a smile.
