MiMO for Circus and Street Theater<br \/>&#8211; MiMO for Contemporary Dance and Dance-Theater<br \/>&#8211; MiMO for Children&#8217;s Theater.  <\/p>\n<p>Each workshop offers different techniques that can enrich and enhance creative and communicative aspects of each discipline, providing participants with creative and dramaturgical cues and tools for greater expressiveness or effectiveness on stage.<\/p>\n<p>They are aimed at people who practice, study, or perform professionally in the indicated disciplines, or who have a background in mime and physical theater and want to learn more about the techniques addressed.<\/p>\n<p>It is possible to attend one or more workshops, with a progressive discount formula (see table below)<\/p>\n<p>All workshops take place at Philip Radice&#8217;s Atelier Teatro Fisico, 12 Carmagnola Street in TORINO.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_divider show_divider=&#8221;off&#8221; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; text_font_size=&#8221;20px&#8221; text_line_height=&#8221;1.8em&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The Circus is the world of <strong>illusions<\/strong> and the impossible becoming possible.<br \/>Some MiMO techniques fit into this universe and provide additional narrative and visual possibilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objects<\/strong> that rebel against our will, invisible forces acting on us, but also the ability <strong>to<\/strong> <strong>imitate<\/strong> <strong>life<\/strong> (&#8220;mime,&#8221; after all, comes from the Greek &#8220;\u03bc\u1fd6\u03bc\u03bf\u03c2&#8221; &#8211; Mimos, imitator): mime in a contemporary physical dramaturgy can offer the study of imitation, that is, the <strong>artistic reproduction of the world.<\/strong><br \/>Fragments of stories, of lives lived, of characters and representations of the world.<\/p>\n<p>Of <strong>street theater<\/strong>, MiMO has always been an integral part, in the long tradition of acrobats, court jesters and Commedia dell&#8217;Arte comedians.<br \/>In this workshop we will also explore some classic MiMO street &#8220;<strong>tricks<\/strong>&#8221; (fixed points, games of direct interaction with the audience, effective illusions in the particular context of the street).<\/p>\n<p>The workshop days in the hall can be supplemented by an additional day of street work and experimentation a week or two later.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main topics covered:<\/strong><br \/>\u25cf Classical <strong>street MiMO<\/strong> techniques (the invisible wall, the<br \/>rope, the living statue, etc.)<br \/>\u25cf MiMO techniques with <strong>real objects<\/strong> (fixed point, anarchic object movements<br \/>, conflict, etc.)<br \/>\u25cf The <strong>Mimesis<\/strong>: painting the world on stage<br \/>\u25cf Building a <strong>mimic character<\/strong><br \/>\u25cf Multiple characters<br \/>\u25cf Selected techniques of manipulating the<strong>Invisible<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The workshop <strong>is aimed<\/strong> at artists from the world of circus and street theater, or students of circus and physical theater schools.
